Being the prologue, this chapter is fairly easy. It's Lyn versus two bandits. If you're on easy mode, just follow the on-screen instructions; you can't lose.

If you're on hard mode, it's not much of a challenge, although there is a slight chance Batta can kill you. Just move straight left, and kill the bandit. Heal if necessary, and move towards Batta. It's probably best to go next to him and wait, so he attacks you first. Then use a vulnerary, and let him attack again.

On your next turn, his HP should be low enough so that a hit will kill him. Sure, it wasted vulneraries, but there's no chance of death.

To start off, have Kent and Sain double team the closest brigand, they should be able to kill it. Move Lyn straight right.

Next turn, have Lyn attack the close bandit. If you want, you can move Kent/Sain down there to help, or you can move them straight right to go after a different one. It's your call. I usually move Kent to help, and have Sain advance.

Next, have Lyn and Kent come to Sain's aid on the two brigands. Use a vulnerary on Sain if needed, and finish off those two enemies.

After they're dead, just move towards the boss. Watch your health, and finish him with whoever. This will end the chapter.

Since Kent and Sain can't cross the mountains, you'll want Kent and Sain to break the wall on the side of the building and go in that way. Send Lyn downwards to kill the brigands for EXP, while Kent and Sain take the enemies inside and the boss with a lance.

Then have Lyn come upwards and seize the throne for the victory.

First visit the village to get Wil to join your party. Florina should be able to handle the northern mercenary on her own, so send her upwards to visit that village for 2000 Gold. You can leave Florina up here to try and kill the other mercenary and brigand that come your way, or send her back south. Advance the rest of your characters right and kill the enemies along the way.

If you want, you can buy a couple of spare weapons for your characters at the armory (I suggest at least buying an Iron Sword for Sain. He can use it next chapter), and then go to the boss.

It wouldn't be a bad idea, albeit risky, to have Florina get the kill on the boss. She could use some levels, and that would help. just watch your health, he shouldn't be that difficult.

There are a couple of ways to do this chapter. You can try to storm the boss and kill him, or wait around 7 turns, defending the fortress. If you're going to kill the boss, just go for it.

Send Lyn right to recruit Dorcas, and send everyone else south, killing everyone as you go. If you're going to defend, however, you'll want to start by placing your units. I like to make Lyn go right to recruit Dorcas.

They'll be able to aptly handle that entrance. I like to Send Wil left to defend the cracked wall, and for when they eventually break it, Florina isn't far behind. Then, just have Sain/Kent guard the southern entrance (hopefully you bought Sain an Iron Sword last chapter.) Just defend, heal when needed and you'll win before too long.
